The Philadelphia Phillies and Houston Astros clinched their 2022 World Series appearances and will play in what should be a star-studded matchup.

This Phillies team features former league MVP Bryce Harper while the Astros have pitching legend Justin Verlander.

The Phillies reached the World Series after earlier winning the wild card round. The team had a good-but-not-great 87-75 record during the regular season, while the Astros had a 106-56 record and beat the Mariners and Yankees in the American League playoffs without losing a game.

This Year’s World Series is also guaranteed to have some games in November after a lockout delayed the start of Opening Day this season, a phenomenon that rarely occurs.

Here’s what you need to know about the 2022 world series:

The first game of the World Series will be played on Friday, Oct. 28, and as previously stated, at least one game will be played in November. The matchup is a best-of-seven series, meaning that games 5, 6 and 7 will only occur if they are necessary.
