The Biggest LEGO Sets Ever

LEGO's NINJAGO The Movie has spawned some awesome sets including this one - the NINJAGO City. This beautiful brightly coloured city sits over 3-levels all connected by a sliding elevator.

On the lower level you'll find a traditional fish market and house, together with a calming bridge over a stream and fishing boat. The second level contains a fashion store, comic book store and seafood restaurant. The top floor contains Lloyd and and Misako's apartment, together with a rooftop sushi bar and a radio tower.

With a terrific level of detail and lots to play with, this set should appeal to fans of NINJAGO and big LEGO builds alike.

Unfortunately, this set is no longer available after being discontinued back in December 2019.

Before 2017's Millennium Falcon there was already a rather large replica of Solo's "piece of junk". Weighing in at 5197 pieces, until recently this set was the definitive version.

The ship was the first Falcon to be built to minifigure scale and as so is over 33 inches (84cm) long, 22 inches (55cm) wide and 8 inches (20cm) tall. It comes with Han, Chewbacca, Obi-Wan, Luke and Leia minifigures to help you save the galaxy.

The set captures the whole stadium - from the pitch, to the players’ tunnel, VIP entrance and press section; and even has a tour bus outside!

Measuring over a metre long, Diagon Alley can actually be separated in to four individual buildings that can be configured in any order to make the alley of your dreams. The bright colours and varied shops ensure that this whole build will be interesting from start to finish!

Based on the LEGO NINJAGO TV series, this three tier ninja set measures 29" (73cm) high, 17.5" (44cm) long and 13" (33cm) wide and includes an ice cream shop, noodle house, museum, zen garden, Ninja control tower and student apartment.

The set connects to the LEGO NINJA City and Docks also featured on this list to make your NINJAGO world even bigger.

The finished model is an impressive 20 inches (50cm) wide and 16 inches (40.6cm) tall which means you'll need to find an extra special place to display this special model.

The massive Hogwarts Castle measures over 22 inches (58cm) high, 27 inches (69cm) wide and 16 inches (43cm) deep. Recreating a landmark as big and grand as Hogwarts, this set is a micro-scale version of the school with an assortment of microfigures to fit inside.

The castle contains the Great Hall; moving staircases; classrooms for potions, Defence against the Dark Arts and other rooms from the series.

The set is not not the biggest in number of pieces, it still holds the crown for the most expensive LEGO set ever released.

At 7,541 bricks this LEGO Millennium Falcon is a giant when built measuring over 84cm (33 inches) long and 56cm (22 inches) wide and 21cm (8 inches) high.

With that kind of scale to play with, it's no surprise that the LEGO Millenium Falcon is also impressive in it's accuracy to the iconic Star Wars ship containing a greater level of external detail than any Millennium Falcon LEGO set ever has before. You can even configure the model to both classic and modern Star Wars styles and pilot the ship with either a young or older Han Solo.

In the Falcon's interior you'll find several sections such as the main hold, the rear compartment, the top gunnery station and the cockpit.

Designed to mimic the incredible architecture of the original Roman amphitheatre, the completed model is over 10.5 inches (27cm) high, 20.5 inches (52cm) wide, and 23.5 inches (59cm) deep. You're going to need a large cabinet to display this masterpiece!

Every detail of the model amphitheatre stays true to the real-life Colosseum – including having 80 ‘ribs’ in the spectator stands and the three different shades of brick to replicate the different columns and ageing of the Roman landmark.

The Colosseum build experience matches the same process as the original, with the modern “wooden” arena being the last part to be placed on the LEGO model, as it was in real-life back in the 1990s.

LEGO's second largest set ever is the 10294 Titanic - a huge 9,090 piece ship faithfully recreating the original Titanic to 1:200 scale. It measures 4 feet (1.35m) in length making it the longest LEGO set ever released.

The LEGO Titanic includes all the features of the original ship - from the ship's bridge to promenade deck to the swimming pool; and it can be split in to three sections allowing you to view a cross-section of the interior with the grand staircase, boiler room and more.

Please note: like the original, this ship does not float.

The new LEGO Art World Map is the largest individual LEGO set ever made. It contains a whopping 11,695 pieces - that's 2,605 more pieces than the Titanic in second place and 4,154 more pieces than the Star Wars UCS Millennium Falcon.

Measuring at over 25.5 in. (65 cm) high and 40.5 in. (104 cm) wide, the world map can be wall mounted or displayed on a shelf.

The kit comes with a soundtrack, so you can enjoy an audio world tour as you build while oceans can be customized to give the map a twist and landmass sections can be moved to refocus the map on 1 of 3 sections of the world.
