Scroll on to know the 8 benefits apple cider vinegar can provide your pooch

1. For dog wounds

Prevents infestation by bacteria and viruses

Apple cider vinegar not only prevents bacteria and viruses from attacking the wound and causing infection, it also speeds up the healing process. However, never apply it on open wounds as it stings.

2. For itchy skin

Reduces itchiness due to its detoxifying properties

If your dog is suffering from seasonal allergies or flea problems, he or she will get instant relief if you apply apple cider vinegar as a conditioner after bath. Always dilute the apple cider vinegar with at least 50% water before applying.

3. Prevents fleas

Makes an inhabitable environment for fleas on your dog’s fur

Make a 50:50 solution of water and apple cider vinegar and spread it on your dog’s fur.

4. As a dog conditioner

Provides long-lasting shine and repels pests

Remember to use 50:50 apple cider vinegar-water mixture before you shampoo your dog. Spray your dog down with diluted apple cider vinegar (half ACV, half water) after shampooing.

5. For canine ears

Prevents ear infection and cleans the ear

Make a 50:50 solution of ACV with water. Soak the mixture in a cotton ball and wipe your dog ear to clean it.

6. For dog paws

Prevents infection and keeps the pores on the paws soft

You can either dip your dog’s paws in an apple cider vinegar mixture or you can spray them with a diluted apple cider vinegar

7. Improves digestion

Prevents the growth of harmful gut bacteria and maintains the stomach acidity

Apple cider vinegar has a pH of 3.1 to 5. If your dog already has a stomach pH within this range, you do not need to use apple cider vinegar. If your dog’s stomach pH is less than this, you should start using apple cider vinegar.

8. Protects from digestive problems

Reduces gas and burping issues

Add ¼ to ½ teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to your dogs water bowl or food every day
